Caríssim@s Colegas,

Nesta altura, a duas semanas da Expo, onde receberemos, para já, 2200 alunos, fora os que não estão inscritos na Expo e vêm na mesma, estamos com um problema que não esperávamos ter...

Há um número mt apreciável de testes "grandes" dia 14 e dia 16 de Abril....

Ora sendi o dia 13 de Abril um dia sem aulas por causa da Expo como vos tranamiti, atempadamente, a 17 de Janeiro, tem todo o sentido envolvermos os nossos alunos o mais possível neste evento.

Aliás, até se pensou num Parada de Licenciaturas pela avenida principal, feita pelos aluno, é claro. Ora o que eles nos estão a dizer é que não podem fazer parada nenhuma e, por ventura, nem andar por cá nesse dia (de 16 licenciaturas, há para aí 4 que dizem participar) por causa dos testes que terão nesses dias.

Agora, a questão que se põe é simples: qto mais sólida, engraçada, organizada e consistente for a Expo, mais hipóteses temos de "agradar" e, perante, o número, pouco habitual, de estudantes do Secundário a visitarem a *** num só dia, o conseguir este suceeso não é uma questão de somenos. Tudo conta... E, certamente, não haverá dúvidas que um campus com bastantes alunos da *** envolvidos na festa, tem um aspecto e um resultado completamente diferente do que.... muito poucos.

Pedia-vos que tentassem o vosso melhor de forma a alterar as datas desses testes. Mesmo que para um dia ou outro e a umas horas menos lógicas, desta vez.

Ao fim ao cabo nem tivémos, este semestre limitações, de Segundas feiras para testes, como tínahmos no passado com as Quartas à tarde onde não se podima marcar testes.

Penso que a escola merece um esforço de todos num evento deste tipo. É a primiera vez que se realiza. É gigantesco. Não está rodado e tudo pode contribuir para o seu fracasso ou, pelo menos, para um sucesso muito menor que o desejado.

Pedia mesmo a vossa melhor colaboração.

Campus Visits for High School Students

U of L's admissions office hosts a campus visit program Monday through Friday and some Saturdays in the month. The schedule begins at 10:00am on weekdays and at 10:30am on Saturday (both times are Eastern Standard Time). Check available dates and times.

Your Campus Visit will include the following:

An information session begins your visit with an Admissions representative who discusses the application process, academic programs, campus life, scholarships and financial aid... with plenty of time for your questions.

Taking a student-guided walking tour of campus and learn about the history and traditions that have shaped the university. Visit academic buildings, a residence hall and the Student Activities Center, a hub for student life. Take a look at the SAC's food court, bookstore, Cardinal game room and recreational facilities.

Interested families have the option to request appointments to meet with departmental representatives. (If choosing this option, please schedule your visit at least two weeks in advance to allow time to arrange your appointment.)


Scheduling Your Visit
The Office of Admissions encourages you to utilize the online reservation form to schedule their campus visit. Applying online will allow you to select your date, get a confirmation, and link to your campus directions all with the click of a button! Campus Visits for High School Students

Whether you are a high school senior not yet admitted for fall, a junior or a sophomore, our regular campus visit is designed for you! Your visit experience will feature our brand-new Baker University Center!

Information Session
Our one-hour group information session, presented by an Admissions Advisor, gives you important information about the admissions process, majors offered, campus housing, financial aid and other general information about Ohio University.

Campus Tour
Be sure to wear comfortable shoes! A one-hour group walking tour of the campus will be conducted by one of our student tour-guides and can be scheduled either prior to or following the information session. The tour will take you in and around some of the most popular locations on campus, including Alden Library, classroom space, the Ping Recreation center, a residence hall showroom, a dining hall and the historic College Green.

Dining Options
If you're visiting while classes are in session and would like to get a taste of Ohio University Dining Services during your visit, just ask for a discount coupon when you check in at Undergraduate Admissions. For $6.00 per person (plus tax, cash only, please), you and your family can enjoy lunch or dinner at any one of the five univeristy dining halls during the week. If you visit on a Saturday, you can sample the fare at Nelson, Jefferson or Boyd Dining Hall. Lunch is served daily from 11:00 a.m until 1:30 p.m., and dinner times vary by location. Visit Dining Services online for more information about dining hall locations, hours of operation, daily menus and more. Please note that our dining halls are closed during Winter Intersession.

Note: Due to high demand, reservations are required during peak visitation times--typically April, October and November. It is recommended that you schedule your visit at least two weeks in advance at any time of the year.

A reservation form needs to be completed and submitted for each student visiting Ohio University. Unfortunately, we are unable to schedule residence hall overnight visits. To schedule an appointment with an academic advisor, contact the department directly. If you or anyone in your party needs disability accommodations, please contact Undergraduate Admissions at 740-593-4100.

9:30 am - 3:00 pm Allen Chapman Activity Center, East 5th Place & Gary (2 blocks west of Harvard)

Preview TU is about the total college experience! As time to make your college decision draws closer, we invite you and your parents to join the TU community for a fun-filled and informative day designed to give you a first-hand view of campus life.

Applicants who submit their Intent to Enroll form and pay the $200 enrollment deposit prior to Preview TU may request an enrollment appointment when they preregister. You will then be contacted by an academic advisor to schedule a time on April 13 or 14.

* Be among the first in your freshman class to enroll in courses
* Lunch with University Ambassadors
* Visit TU's residence halls (Applicants who wish to complete the housing agreement and pay the $250 deposit may select their room during the program.)
* Tour campus ministries, Greek housing, athletic facilities, and more
* Tour the city of Tulsa

Juniors in high school and their parents are invited to explore the academic and extracurricular programming offered at TU.

This program will introduce you to the TU experience and give you a chance to interact with key administrators and students on campus.

Scheduled activities include:
-information session on programs of study
-interaction with currect TU students
-overview of admission process
-optional campus bus tour

The program is free of charge, but registration is required. Register online no later than May 16, 2007 to reserve your space.

Isto é tão significativo do que se chama a-má-governação da Escola que eu não vou resistir, um dia destes, a voltar a olhar para um expressivo mau exemplo como este.
Mas então o Marketing processa-se nesta instituição à custa do core business???
